The Board Members of !S.OS.Oceanside! have been busy during this winter season and are ready to share with you some exciting news.
Bagby Beer Company has generously welcomed SOS to host our public meetings upstairs in their spacious bar and dining room.
Our Winter quarterly meeting will be held Tuesday, February 18 at 6pm and feature guest speaker, Oceanside City Principal Planner Russ Cunningham. Russ will be speaking about the City’s effort to update our Local Coastal Plan with the California Coastal Commission. The LCP will guide future development in Oceanside and be an important resource for adapting to sea-level rise.
This is a very important topic for those of us who want more sand on the beach! Come out to Bagby’s, grab a beer and order dinner while we gather together to Save Oceanside Sand.
The City of Oceanside, along with the State King Tide Project, is hosting a ‘viewing party’ at the Wisconsin Street parking lot this Sunday, February 9 at 8:30 am.
City Planner Russ Cunningham will lead a discussion about Climate Change and the effects of Sea Level Rise as it impacts our Oceanside community.
The SOS group will be out there in force, so come on by and join us while we watch waves crashing on the rock revetment.
