Serious Injury Collision – San Marcos

On December 29, 2019, at approximately 8:20 p.m., deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s San Marcos Station, Traffic Division, responded to reports of a vehicle collision which resulted in serious injury. The collision occurred at the intersection of South Rancho Santa Fe Road and Boulderidge Drive, in the city of San Marcos.

Based on the preliminary investigation, it was determined a vehicle was making a left turn from southbound South Rancho Santa Fe Road onto eastbound Boulderidge Drive while another vehicle was driving northbound on South Rancho Santa Fe Road. The vehicles collided in the intersection causing major front end damage to both vehicles. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening, but serious injuries. Both drivers where cooperative with the investigation.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to be a factor in this collision.
