On Saturday March 7, 2026, the Boys & Girls Club of Vista’s Masquerade Ball was held at the Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa in Carlsbad. This gala is their largest fundraiser of the year and makes a life-changing difference for local kids. Every dollar raised provides financial assistance so more than 2,200 youth can access the Boys & Girls Club of Vista’s year-round programs, ensuring no child is ever turned away due to cost.
Support creates safe spaces after school, academic enrichment, caring mentors, and programs that build character and healthy lifestyles. Because of this event and all that attended, more kids will have the opportunities they deserve to learn, grow, and thrive.
As you entered the area in the ballroom you were greeted by boys and girls that attends the Club. The large hallways were lined with tables for the silent auction items. As the crowd gathered, Hors d’oeuvres and champagne was served. There was an open bar and a photo booth ran by David Zamaya from My San Diego North County. Enthusiasm was felt by voices of friends gathering together to support this great cause. Once the ballroom was opened the guests took their seats and the evening entertainment began. The Cherry Bombs, a group of long-time friends who turned inside jokes, late-night practices, and a shared obsession with music into a band performed with the music and dance team.
The EMCEE for the evening was Jared Aarons reporter for ABC News 10. He introduced Matt Koumaras, CEO of the Vista Boys and Girls Club and Matt introduced special guests and dignitaries.
A lively auction followed dinner with Auctioneer-Daniel Lopez, with the highlight of the evening being the Firehouse Dinner. A dinner of 8 was up for grabs at a local firehouse.
