Hoping to reunite Vista after the hardships and restricting life Covid-19 has brought to Vista- and the world-, a group of dedicated students at Vista High School decided to organize a community art show for the students in Vista Unified School District. The show was student planned (with effort and help of teacher Laura Olden) as a community walk-through gallery in downtown Vista, CA full of art from students from elementary, middle, and high schools. In partnership with local businesses that will display the student art in their windows, the show is meant to be a celebration of creativity and community.

The theme for the show is ‘Vista is…’ in which each student group interpreted the theme in their own way by filling in the blank with their chosen word (ex. Vista is diverse, Vista is colorful, Vista is beautiful, etc). The art will be displayed on posters in downtown Vista which includes the streets from Citrus Avenue all the way to Santa Fe from the end of May through July 2021. The art show is open to the public and it is completely free to attend. Maps will be available at the Backfence Society (110 S. CITRUS AVE. STE F • VISTA, CA) or at https://vusdartshow2021.weebly.com/
