Vista Skatepark Coalition hosted a “Vista Skateparks Cleanup Day” on February 11th

The Vista Skatepark Coalition hosted a “Vista Skateparks Cleanup Day” on February 11th. Over 50 volunteers helped clean both Skateparks, the alleyway connecting the parks, the neighboring businesses and sidewalk along Santa Fe Ave.

Mayor John Franklin
Mayor John Franklin joined the event, kicking off the Cleanup by sharing the importance of park care, and then cleaning multiple areas with the volunteers. “It was great to see so many skaters, families and community volunteers come out.” “We appreciate Mayor Franklin and the City’s support.” said Coalition President, Jack Flaherty. Local community partners Skate 7 Skateshop, The House, H-Street, Group NC, Peppertree Frosty, Puppet Skates, Skatepark Respect, and Vista Skatepark Coalition Members; donated their time, supplies and/or raffle prizes.
