Vista Teen Outreach (VTO) is rapidly approaching our annual Holiday Basket event. We will provide full holiday meals to 200 families in the community, including students from Vista Unified School District (VUSD) high schools and middle schools. This is our largest one-off event of the year, and it is the result of several months of planning and work to make it happen. We are incredibly appreciative of the support of local businesses like TJ Crossman Automotive, Del Rey Avocados, Frazier Farms, the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum, and Quick Check Smog, whose generosity helps make the event possible.

We have had a tremendous outpouring of support from the community through food drives and private donations, with one donor matching the first $1,000 in new contributions received this holiday season. We are still looking for volunteers for loading and unloading turkeys and assembling baskets. We will be reaching out for drivers and distribution volunteers mid-week. Interested parties can find our opportunities for this event at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0E4CA9A729A0FA7-60469308-vto2025#/

Community members and businesses interested in providing financial support can contact us at vistateenoutreach@gmail.com.

Vista Teen Outreach is a 100% volunteer-run organization dedicated to enhancing academic and life success for students in the Vista Unified School District and their families. We address food insecurity and other needs through pantries at 13 VUSD high schools and middle schools, as well as through community partnerships.
