June 24, 2024, Vista, CA – Vista Unified students are keeping busy this summer. Between a standard schedule of classes for high schoolers and a rich slate of programming for elementary and middle schoolers, the school district is offering a wide range of enrichment programs to keep kids active, entertained, and educated.
Funding from the state’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P), in particular, has greatly helped boost this year’s summer programs, offered at Vista’s elementary, middle, and high schools.
The core focus of the summer program is to provide students with opportunities they may not normally have access to while providing a safe and nurturing environment. The programs are helpful for families whose parents and guardians are working, providing students with enriching activities, new experiences, and academic support.
