There’s no denying we’re in the heart of summer when the calendar turns to July.
Kids are out of school and looking for stuff to do, families are planning vacations and sometimes you just have that random day off and are searching for an activity.
No need to book a flight or keep filling up that gas tank and driving for hours when we’ve got plenty of things for you to do right here in San Diego County.
We’ve compiled an extensive list of more than 100 County activities for you and your families. There are things from babies to older adults and everyone in between. There are even some creative educational activities where the kids might not even realize they’re learning while they’re having fun.
You can learn to make cheese or Indian street food, learn to quill, celebrate Harry Potter’s birthday, hike to the top of a mountain to watch 4th of July fireworks or taste the winning dish in a local Spam cook off. If you’re looking to cool down in a fun way, visit one of our three parks that have water features!
All of the events on this list are free, although some County parks have a $3 parking fee. Reminder: County libraries and some Parks facilities will be closed on July 4.
