Gun Safety Event – San Marcos

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, Carlsbad Police Department, Palomar College Police Department and University Police Department, Cal State San Marcos to get unwanted guns off our streets.
Join us for a Gun Safety Event on:
Saturday, May 31
8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
San Marcos Sheriff’s Station
182 Santar Place, San Marcos
Turn in your unwanted gun and receive a gift card ($100 for handguns, rifles and shotguns and $200 for assault weapons). Remain anonymous. No questions asked.
Firearms must be in working order.
Place the unloaded firearm in the trunk of your vehicle.
A deputy or officer will provide instructions.
All weapons collected will be destroyed.
