The 36th Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony was held on Wednesday, May 4, at the Regional Law Enforcement Memorial in the Waterfront Park.
The ceremony honors all San Diego County law enforcement officers who have given their lives in the line of duty.
This year, the name of Officer Daniel G. Walters of the San Diego Police Department was added to the memorial wall. Officer Walters was severely injured in the line of duty on Nov. 21, 2003 and died on April 23, 2020.
