On February 15, 2020 at the Gloria McClellan Center, 875 guests were served a pancake breakfast by 22 Amigos de Vista Lions Club members. Bobby Jones of ‘Sunrise Cafe’ was the Chairman for this event. For 40 years the Amigos de Vista Lions has been serving breakfast to the community to help raise money for Vista Youth Basketball, local charities and community needs.
Donations to the event were also made by Aloha Printing, Upper Crust, Sunrise Cafe, US Foods and Shamrock foods. The club meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 7 am at Pegah’s Kitchen, 945 S. Santa Fe Ave, Vista CA 92083.

Amigos de Vista Lions CLub was established in 1970 to serve the needs of the visually impaired and youth in the city of Vista. We partner with the Vista Unified School District to provide eye examinations and glasses to those students who cannot afford these services. We also support the San Diego Center for the Blind in Vista to assist those who have adult-onset blindness. In addition, we support youth sports in Vista, Women’s Resource Center, Solutions for Change, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Canine Companions, International Eye Relief Team, Grace Soup Kitchen, City of Hope, Alta Vista Botanical Gardens, and fund college scholarships for graduating high school seniors attending Vista schools.
