According to Caltrans, construction crews will close the eastbound State Route 78 (SR-78) off-ramp to Barham Drive/Woodland Parkway for approximately 80 hours beginning Thursday, Aug. 16 at 8 pm. The ramp is expected to open before the morning commute on Monday, Aug. 20.
Crews will be temporarily relocating barriers, removing structural sections of the ramp, and replacing the pavement that will tie in a portion of the ramp into the new auxiliary lane, between Twin Oaks Valley Road and Barham Drive/Woodland Parkway.
Detour signs will direct motorists to exit at Twin Oaks Valley Road to access either Barham Drive or Woodland Parkway.
At the completion of the weekend closure, motorists will encounter several changes to the roadway, location of barriers and temporary lane markings. Caltrans reminds drivers to “Be Work Zone Alert” by avoiding distracted driving, paying constant attention to traffic, and slowing down when approaching road closures and through any highway construction zone.
