Please Save the Date for Thursday October 16, 2025, from 8:30-9:30am for the first YES Meeting of the 2025-26 school year. We are happy to welcome Amy Isiaho with the Child and Family Well-Being Department, Office of Child and Family Strengthening.
Amy will provide us with an overall picture of what CFWB does and the shift from mandated reporting to community supporting.

YES will meet this month at the Pine Avenue Community Center (Multipurpose Room), 3209 Harding Street Carlsbad Ca. 92009.

Carlsbad Youth Enrichment Services is a Community Collaborative that was founded in 1993, after several community members and agencies attended a conference in San Diego at the invitation of then Mayor Susan Golding. The conference, which was a direct result of a senseless drive-by shooting death of a recent San Diego high school graduate, was established with the goal of creating a Community Collaboration with agencies that would work together to provide services for a safer environment for all youth living within their participating communities. The Collaborative has been active in making a difference in the North County Communities for 30 years.

Over the years, the goal of the YES Collaborative has been enhanced in an effort to identify current issues and improve Communication and Collaboration among all service providers who currently work with Youth in North San Diego County.

Agency representatives and community members join together to look at Youth Development opportunities for young people as well as Community
Connectedness in the North County Region. A major mission of this Collaborative is to focus on the importance of an education, as well as to keep young people free from Destructive Decision Making.

The YES meeting, which is open to anyone and everyone, meets the third Thursday of the month (with some exceptions). The meetings, which begin promptly at 8:30 am and conclude at 9:30 am, are held at the Pine Avenue Community Center 3209 Harding Street in Carlsbad. The YES Collaborative is an opportunity to network, as well as to exchange and share ideas and information.
