Do you love big laughs, clever wordplay, and that electric feeling of live theater?

With performing arts disappearing in schools, Carlsbad High has shown commitment to supporting students by creating high-quality opportunities and keeping the arts alive in the community. Something Rotten! Carlsbad High School’s student-run program is at Carlsbad High School, meaning the talent you see on stage is only part of the story. Behind the scenes, students are designing the set, building it from the ground up, running tech, and managing the entire production.

Please support Carlsbad High School’s presentation of Something Rotten!

Set in the Renaissance, Something Rotten! follows two playwright brothers trying to outshine Shakespeare in a high-energy, hilarious musical. This isn’t just a show; it’s a chance to see students who have worked together pour their creativity, energy, and heart to bring something bold, funny, and unforgettable to life. Something you DON’T wanna miss.
