The public is invited to attend the 2026 Oceanside National Day of Prayer event, held annually on the first Thursday in May. This year’s community gathering takes place on May 7th, at the El Corazon Senior Center, from 6:00 – 7:15 pm, in the courtyard area. The facility is centrally located at 3302 Senior Center Drive in Oceanside, across the street from the new Frontwave Arena.

This year’s program includes an opening and closing flag posting by the El Camino High School Marine Corps Jr. ROTC Color Guard, a live worship band, and an official Mayoral City Proclamation. Local pastors and other community leaders offer prayers on topics related to our nation, state, county, and city. Over a dozen churches from Oceanside support the 2026 program, which is being held in conjunction with America’s 250th Birthday.

Admission and parking are free. Small American flags will be handed out to all the children who attend! The event is sponsored by Oceanside Community of Prayer, Inc., a local nonprofit ministry. For more information, go to the Oceanside National Day of Prayer Facebook Page, or email City Coordinator David Daubenspeck at oceansidendp@gmail.com.
