SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women’s basketball team will have a new leader this fall as CSUSM Director of Athletics Morod Shah announced the hiring of Britinee Yasukochi as the program’s next head coach on Thursday.
Becoming the Cougars’ fifth head coach in program history, Yasukochi comes to CSUSM from UC San Diego, where she spent the last seven seasons as the Tritons’ assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. In that time, she helped UCSD to two NCAA Tournament appearances, two Big West Tournament Championships and one CCAA Tournament Championship.
