The Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation is investigating two separate burglaries at a business in Bonsall.
The first incident happened on July 11, just before 1:00 a.m., at the Backdraft Bar & Grill located in the 5500 block of Mission Road. According to the business owner, the suspect entered the locked back patio area, removed security cameras and tried to detach an 80‑inch television from the wall. Damage is estimated at around $300. Surveillance video captured a male suspect who appeared to be either Hispanic or White, wearing black‑and‑white Vans shoes with white laces, dark jeans, and a black T‑shirt.
A second burglary took place at the same business on Friday, September 25, just after 12:00 a.m., when the suspect again accessed the locked patio area. This time, the suspect stole miscellaneous restaurant supplies valued at around $950. Surveillance video shows the suspect wearing camouflage pants, black‑and‑white Vans shoes with white laces and a maroon‑and‑black motorcycle‑style jacket with a large “Riding Legends Motors” logo on the back. In the video, the suspect is seen putting items into a black trash bag before leaving the property.
Based on the video evidence, detectives from the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation say they believe the same suspect is responsible for both burglaries.
So far, no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing.
