Escondido, CA – Escondido Public Library will host an Information Session about the upcoming Future Codes Club for students in grades 9-12 on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Library’s Turrentine Room. Students and parents are encouraged to attend and learn more about the Future Codes Club which provides free training on the fundamentals of computer coding and is a great introduction to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
Participants in Future Codes Club will work together as a team and engage their communities to solve a real world problem as they develop a Community Impact Project utilizing coding concepts.
Students who successfully complete the Community Impact Project will receive a free laptop.
No computer or coding experience is necessary, and participation looks great on college applications. The Information Session will cover details about the application process and upcoming dates for the bi-weekly Future Codes Club meetings.
