The Vista Planning Commission considered a proposal for a four-story, 128-room Hilton Garden Inn on South Melrose Drive, south of Faraday Street, during its February 18, 2020, Planning Commission meeting in the Civic Center Council Chambers.
John Conley, Community Development Director, presented the staffs’ findings on the project. Members of the building commissioners asked questions of the staff. After a discussion, the planning commission voted to approve the project. The next step is to proceed to the City Council for discussion and final instructions.
The purpose of the Planning Commission is to recommend to the City Council plans for the regulation of the future growth, development and beautification of the City and to hear and take action on certain applications for subdivisions of land, site development plans, special use permits, or variances.
