National Bicycle Safety Month

CARLSBAD, Calif. – May is Bicycle Safety Month and the City of Carlsbad Police Department is partnering with the California Office of Traffic Safety to encourage those out walking, driving or riding their bicycle to look out for one anotherwhile sharing the road.
Tips to keep your family safe
• Always wear a helmet
• Never ride impaired
• Wear brightly colored clothing and have bike lights handy (front white light and rear red flashing light or reflectors) to be seen
• Use hand signals when turning or stopping
• Review the rules of the road
