Vista, CA: Operation HOPE-North County (OHNC) announces the kickoff of their annual campaign, Seeds of HOPE. The campaign is raising money to sustain and grow their programs for families with children and single women who are experiencing homelessness. It also celebrates more than four years of delivering services 365 days a year.
Commenting on recent challenges to providing critical services during COVID-19, OHNC Director of Resource Development, Nicole Ketcher said, “Despite the struggle to keep our doors open, we are pleased that so many in our community stepped up to help. Our priority has always been the care and security of our adults and children, and this campaign will help ensure that we continue to provide these services for a long time to come!”
Donations to the campaign will support families working hard to reclaim their lives within the structure of the program:
• Children – 116 served last fiscal year alone, thriving within the stability of the program.
• Adults – under the direction of their case managers, develop and implement a solid plan to guide and support achievement of self-sufficiency.
• Virtual education, tutoring, life-skills seminars, and continuing education promote growth and enhance potential of both adults and children.
Seeds of HOPE offers a variety of opportunities to support the shelter’s mission. Whether you can make a one-time gift, become a corporate sponsor, match your employee’s donations, or get involved with volunteering, your support changes lives.
