‘Arson’ Man Wanted for Starting Office Fire VIDEO

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and San Diego County Crime Stoppers want your help in identifying a man wanted in connection with an arson in San Marcos.

It happened on Wednesday, August 10 just before midnight in the 100 block of South Rancho Santa Fe Road.

Surveillance video shows a man approaching the business office of San Marcos View Estates and setting it on fire.

No one was hurt. The fire caused $3,000 in damage to the front office.

Sheriff’s Bomb/Arson Detectives responded to the scene to determine the origin and cause of the fire. The investigation is ongoing.

The Sheriff’s Bomb/Arson Unit is a regional resource that investigates arson, as well as fires resulting in serious injuries or death.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a black and white flannel, blue jeans and white shoes.

Someone out there knows the suspect. You might recognize him from his build, clothing or the way he walks.
