THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS will hold their 36th Annual Tootsie Roll Drive Days on October 20, 21, and 22, 2023 and over 600 Councils of the Knights of Columbus in California will conduct their annual candy drive in communities across the state to raise funds for intellectually disabled childr4en and adults in California. All money collected locally will be donated to Downstown, a non-profit organization with residential homes in North County for adults with developmental disabilities, such as Downs Syndrome. Intellectually disabled citizens are productive, contributing members of society, and funds raised through this candy drive will assist Downstown in supporting the continued independence of these citizens.
The Vista City Council offers its sincere appreciation and support of all involved with this candy drive and commends them for their efforts to help others.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Mayor and Members of the Vista City Council do hereby proclaim: October 20, 21 and 22, 2023 as “KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS TOOTSIE ROLL DRIVE DAYS IN VISTA:
