Beacons, Inc., known for its waitlist-only innovative instructional workshops and social opportunities, was founded by 5 moms to provide rich lifelong learning opportunities for their family members and their fellow community members growing from 19 trainees to hundreds in five years.

CARLSBAD, CA, November 17, 2023 – After only 5 years, Beacons, Inc. celebrates its growth from 1,500 sf to 14,400 sf with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 am on Friday, November 17, 2023. Beacons started with 19 people in November of 2018 and now serves hundreds a year.

The facility is close to three times the size of the previous space (with over 14,000 sq ft) and will be home to the non-profit’s growing programming including a (2,400+ sq ft) multi-use space that can be used for entrepreneurial marketplaces, performing arts and social recreational events. The 2023 expansion marks Beacons’ third expansion since opening in November 2018 to reduce program waitlists. Today will also showcase Beacons entrepreneurs and their microenterprises.
