VCC’s Dr. Mora Named in Vista’s “40 Under 40” List

VISTA, CA – VCC is thrilled to share the fantastic news that their own Optometry Director, Dr. Wendy Mora, has been honored in the Vista Chamber of Commerce’s “40 Under 40” list! Dr. Mora is being recognized for her exceptional commitment to community well-being and accessible healthcare.
Dr. Mora joined VCC in 2015 and has been instrumental in expanding access to eye care for all ages, with a much-needed focus on underserved populations. Her collaborations with VCC’s teams have resulted in grant awards, new approaches to comprehensive care for patients, and greater access to services. Dr. Mora has played an integral role in making sure that VCC’s patients with diabetes are receiving regular care through services such as optometry and dental. These services help prevent and treat health complications that these patients are at higher risk of experiencing.
Her involvement in community health fairs, educational presentations, and volunteer work emphasizes her unwavering dedication to serving those in need, and her belief in the power of education. As a bilingual speaker, Dr. Mora is adept at connecting with our local communities, fostering culturally competent care.
