Kick Off Fire Prevention Month with the Vista Fire Department’s Open Houses in October

Vista, CA — As October approaches, the Vista Fire Department invites the community to celebrate Fire Prevention Month with a series of engaging and educational open houses. Each Saturday throughout October, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., residents will have the unique opportunity to interact with our dedicated firefighters and other personnel and gain crucial insights into fire safety and prevention.

These open houses will take place at various fire stations across Vista, offering a hands-on experience with live demonstrations, interactive tours, and the chance to meet the heroes who protect our community daily. Here’s the schedule:

Saturday, October 5: Fire Station #2, 1050 Valley Dr, Vista
Saturday, October 12: Fire Station #4, 2121 Thibodo Rd, Vista
Saturday, October 19: Fire Station #5, 2009 S Melrose Dr, Vista
Saturday, October 26: Fire Station #6, 651 E Vista Way, Vista

“The month of October is all about raising awareness and educating our community on fire safety. By opening our doors and sharing our knowledge, the Vista Fire Department aims to empower families with the tools they need to protect themselves and their homes. We invite everyone to join us and see firsthand how simple actions can make a big difference in preventing fires,” said Fire Chief Gerard Washington.

Take advantage of this opportunity to explore fire safety equipment, learn life-saving skills, and engage with the experts who keep Vista safe. For additional information, please contact the Fire Prevention Month at (760) 643-2801 or visit vista.gov/fire.
