A Message From Mayor Abed
Escondido Tamale Festival
November 11, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Grape Day Park
The 3rd Annual Escondido Tamale Festival is a celebration of Tamales and all the great Latin foods that have become iconic staples of California’s culture. Last year’s inaugural event far exceeded expectations. This year’s event is expected to draw more than 10,000 visitors over the course of the day!
Enjoy free admission, great food, craft beer and wine to purchase, entertainment, competitions (including the chihuahua costume contest and fashion show) and celebrity chefs. It is also a look back at the history of the Spanish and Mexican settlers who built the framework for this great state.
Don’t miss! This event is presented by the Escondido Downtown Business Association
Prior to the event, the Annual Veterans Day Ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at the “Wall of Courage” in Grape Day Park. The Veterans Day Ceremony is presented by Escondido’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1513, American Legion Post 149, and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 70.
