All Evacuations Lifted in Oceanside due to Lilac Fire
According to CAL FIRE San Diego, all mandatory evacuations in Oceanside due to the Lilac Fire have been lifted. All Oceanside neighborhoods are open to repopulation. Please see the CAL FIRE safety checklist if you are returning into the mandatory evacuation area.
Oceanside residents with questions or concerns about damage by the Lilac Fire can call Oceanside Customer Care beginning Monday, December 11 at 760-435-4500.
NORMALIZATION OF SERVICES
Oceanside Parks & Recreation Services are all back in normal operations on Monday, December 11. El Corazon Senior Center, Melba Bishop Recreation Center and Park, and Brooks Pool will all be re-opened tomorrow.
Oceanside Unified School District is open for all classes on Monday, December 11.
The VA Oceanside Clinic will be open for normal operations on Monday, December 11.
ANIMALS
The County’s Department of Animal Services (DAS) is available to assist residents who wish to pick up large animals sheltered at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Individuals who dropped off their own animals need to present the animal’s check-in slip to a DAS employee. If you did not drop off your own animal, please contact a DAS employee at the fairgrounds for assistance.
Members of the public requiring removal of dead animals can call the County’s Department of Animal Services Emergency Dispatch at (619) 236-2341. Dispatchers will ask for the location of the animal, the type of animal, and the number of animals to be removed.
