Admission $5.00 for non-members $3.00 for children 3 to 12 years old 2 and younger are free
San Diego County Public Health Department has issued the following orders to residents:
• Social distancing protocols require people to keep at least 6 ft apart
•Face coverings are required in public places
•Pubic and private gatherings are prohibited

The Garden is open again! Irises bloom in the pond, rosebuds trail over the arbors, California natives unfurl new green leaves. The paths are lined with fragrant sweet alyssum. Shady trails and benches await visitors.
It is the perfect place to enjoy the soothing benefits of being outdoors in nature, to experience sunshine, blue skies, fresh air and stunning views. All while practicing safe social distancing.
We are working hard in these challenging times to maintain and grow the garden for you. The recent rains brought much needed water and also the necessary maintenance of trails and planting beds. We are grateful to volunteers who come each week to weed, rake and plant.
We were disappointed to cancel some of our favorite Garden events: Meading at the Garden, Earth Day 2020, July 4th Fest. We miss the joyful sound of children in Garden classes and the pleasure of seeing brides enjoying their special day in the Rose Garden. Not only are these events popular, but they also provide the Garden with fundraising essential to its mission.

We cannot do this work without you. Alta Vista Botanical Gardens is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We do not receive any government funding. We are financed through money raised at fundraisers and by the generous donations of our supporters.
