On 6-22-19 at about 3:40pm, the Escondido Police Department responded to a call of a possible kidnapping in the 1300 block of Morningview Drive. The reporting party, who had care of five year old Jayleen Corral-Marshall (5-years-old), reported that three suspects had arrived at her residence to take the child.
The suspects are Lucy Vasquez and an unknown Hispanic male and female. The suspects assaulted the reporting party and forcibly took the child and fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction. Vasquez is not related to the missing child and has no custodial rights to her. Lucy Vasquez last resided in San Bernardino County and may be driving to that area.
The suspect vehicle is described as a Gray 2000 Dodge Caravan bearing California license plate 6GWR336. There is a US Army sticker on left side of the rear bumper, and an additional ‘Chino’ sticker in the center of the rear window.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTIONS
– Lucy Vasquez is described as a 61 year old Hispanic female, 5’4″ tall, and weighing120 lbs. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and no teeth.
– Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male adult, 5’7″ tall, and weighing 185 lbs. She has brown hair, and brown eyes, wearing a white t-shirt, and blue jeans.
– Suspect #3 is described as a Hispanic female adult, 5’6″ tall and weighing 185 lbs. She has brown hair, brown eyes, wearing a white top, and unknown color pants.
Five year old Jayleen Corral-Marshall is described as a Hispanic female juvenile, 3 feet tall, weighing 45 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seeing wearing a yellow dress with flower print on the bottom, purple belt, pink shoes, and possibly a pink sun hat.
An Amber Alert was issued this evening. Vasquez and Jayleen were located by Bell Gardens Police. Vasquez was arrested and Jayleen was taken into protective custody.
