On November 19, 2020 just after 7:15 p.m., deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station’s Transit Enforcement Unit responded to a report of a pedestrian who was struck by an Amtrak train just north of the Carlsbad Village Station platform in the city of Carlsbad. Upon arrival, the subject was deceased. Deputies are investigating the incident and manner of death will be determined by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
