City Council of the City of Vista, California, will hold a public meeting in the Vista City Hall Council Chambers, 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, on August 24, 2021, at 5:30 PM, to discuss a preliminary proposal for an Annexation and Zone Change affecting approximately 8.9 acres generally located north of Hannalei Drive and west of S. Santa Fe Avenue at 145 Hannalei Drive. The property is currently designated as Medium Density Residential, 10 dwelling units per acre. An existing church building, baseball fields, and associated parking/improvements currently occupy the lot. The proposal includes creation of three separate lots. One of the lots will be redeveloped to accommodate 37 detached condominium units and related improvements. The existing church building and some associated parking will remain in one of the proposed lots. The third lot will contain a Sprint PCS antenna tower (faux tree) and associated equipment. The applicant has prepared a conceptual plan for 37 detached condominium units that would have access via Hannalei Drive.
