Carlsbad, CA – Army and Navy Academy is proud to announce that Cadet Gabriel Panczuk, a founding member and Captain of the ANA ice hockey team, and current member of the Carlsbad United Hockey Team, has earned a coveted spot in the 13th Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League (ADHSHL) All-Star Games (2025). Gabe has been selected to represent the Junior Varsity division in this prestigious event, showcasing the top players from across Southern California.
The selection process for the ADHSHL All-Star Games is a testament to the league’s commitment to fairness and excellence. Players are nominated by their teams, followed by an electronic voting process conducted by all ADHSHL coaches. Each school must have at least one representative in each division, ensuring a broad representation of talent. The remaining roster spots are filled by the selection committee, focusing on skill, performance, and sportsmanship.
Gabe Panczuk’s impressive stats this season solidified his selection. Playing in 21 games, he has scored 9 goals and delivered 7 assists, totaling 16 points for the season. Panczuk’s dedication on the ice and his leadership off it make him a valued member of the Academy’s growing ice hockey program, which launched just two years ago.
“The Academy’s hockey program wouldn’t be where it is today without Gabe’s leadership. We are incredibly proud of his achievements not only with our program but with the Carlsbad United JV program,” said Roland Miraco, Commandant of Cadets and Director of the Army and Navy Academy Ice Hockey program. “His hard work, determination, and love for the sport have made him a role model for his teammates. Gabe’s selection to the ADHSHL All-Star Games is a reflection of his exceptional skills and dedication.”
The Academy’s ice hockey program, co-coached by Derek Clifton, continues to make strides in its mission to provide Cadets with opportunities to excel both athletically and personally. As founding members of the program, Gabe and his teammates have set a high standard for future Warriors.
The 13th ADHSHL All-Star Games will take place on Sunday, February 2nd, at FivePoint Arena at Great Park Ice, with free admission for all attendees. Fans are encouraged to come out and support Gabe as he represents the Army and Navy Academy.
