Two men have been arrested on multiple felony charges after attacking, robbing and holding a man at gunpoint at a hotel in Vista.
On Monday, March 6 just before 12:00 p.m., deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station responded to a robbery call at the Vista Inn located in the 700 block of West Vista Way.
The victim told deputies he was punched by one suspect while a second suspect pointed a black handgun at him. Fearing for his life, the victim ran away to get help. The suspects were seen leaving the area; one in a silver Camry and the other in a red Ducati. The license plate of the Camry was obtained by a witness and given to deputies.
Deputies located both vehicles in the carport of a mobile home in the 200 block of Olive Avenue. After deputies made several announcements for the men to come out, they complied without incident.
Eder Rodriguez (DOB 05/30/1995) and Fernando Ramirez (DOB 11/04/1991) were identified as the suspects.
Detectives from the Vista Sheriff’s Station also served a search warrant at the home, resulting in the discovery of a fully loaded un-serialized 9MM handgun, an unknown amount of illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia, personal items belonging to the victim and information suggesting the suspects may have been involved in identity theft.
A safety sweep of the mobile home by deputies uncovered an AR-type airsoft rifle and narcotics.
Rodriguez and Ramirez were arrested for robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, conspiracy to commit crime and preventing/dissuading a victim.

Dos hombres detenidos, armas y drogas incautadas.
Dos hombres han sido arrestados por múltiples cargos de delitos graves después de atacar, robar y sujetar a un hombre a punta de pistola en un hotel en Vista.
El lunes 6 de marzo, justo antes de las 12:00 p.m., oficiales del Vista Sheriff’s Station respondieron a una llamada de robo en el Vista Inn ubicado en la cuadra 700 de West Vista Way.
La vÃctima dijo a los oficiales que un sospechoso lo golpeó mientras que un segundo sospechoso le apuntó con una pistola negra. Temiendo por su vida, la vÃctima huyó en busca de ayuda. Los sospechosos fueron vistos saliendo del área; uno en un Camry plateado y el otro en una Ducati roja. La matrÃcula del Camry fue obtenida por un testigo y entregada a los oficiales.
Los oficiales ubicaron ambos vehÃculos en el estacionamiento techado de una casa móvil en la cuadra 200 de Olive Avenue. Después de que los oficiales hicieran varios anuncios para que los hombres salieran, cumplieron sin incidentes.

Los detectives del Vista Sheriff’s Station también entregaron una orden de allanamiento en la casa, lo que resultó en el descubrimiento de una pistola de 9 mm no serializada completamente cargada, una cantidad desconocida de narcóticos ilegales, parafernalia de drogas, artÃculos personales pertenecientes a la vÃctima e información que sugiere a los sospechosos. puede haber estado involucrado en el robo de identidad.
RodrÃguez y RamÃrez fueron arrestados por robo, asalto con arma mortal, allanamiento, conspiración para delinquir y prevención/disuasión de una vÃctima.
