On 12/22/2023 at about 5:15 PM, deputies from the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to an assault with a deadly weapon in the community of San Elijo in the city of San Marcos.
Deputies arrived on scene and located the female victim who was suffering from stab wounds. The victim told deputies she was stabbed by her 20-year-old daughter. With the assistance of ASTREA, San Marcos Deputies located the suspect on a nearby hiking trail. The suspect has been placed under arrest for the assault. The victim did not suffer life threatening injuries. The investigation is still ongoing.
