Assault with a Deadly Weapon Investigators Want Public’s Help in Identifying Suspect.

Investigators from the Valley Center Sheriff’s Substation and San Diego County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a man suspected of assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism and child abuse.

On November 5, 2025 around 4:30 p.m., an unknown suspect confronted two juveniles at a pond near the intersection of Valley Center Road and Irish Oaks Road in Valley Center. The suspect brandished a knife and chased the juveniles.

Additionally, the suspect destroyed a fishing pole and slashed four tires on a vehicle belonging to the victims. The total property damage is valued at approximately $1,300.

During the incident, the suspect provided a fictitious name of “Hector Zeroni.”

Take a good look at these photos. The suspect is described as a White man, approximately 25 to 35-years-old and wearing a black shirt, tan pants and brown work boots.

Anyone with information on the identity or location of the suspect is asked to call the Valley Center Sheriff’s Substation at (760) 751-4400.
