On March 21 at about 10:54pm hours, deputies received a radio call of a male bleeding from the neck near the 200 block South Rancho Santa Fe Rd., in the City of San Marcos. Upon arrival, deputies located a male with injuries to his neck. The male told deputies his vehicle was stolen during the altercation. The San Marcos Fire Department responded and transported the male to Palomar Medical Center. Deputies checked the area for the victim’s vehicle and obtained information of a reckless driver, driving a vehicle matching the description of the victim’s vehicle. Deputies located the victim’s vehicle on the 200 block of South Pacific Street in the City of San Marcos. Deputies detained and arrested the lone occupant, Josephine Jones. The victim’s condition is unknown at this time and the investigation is still ongoing.
Jones was arrested for 245(a)(1) PC (Assault with a deadly weapon) and 215(A) PC (Carjacking).
