Valley Center – Today, Assemblymember Marie Waldron (R -Valley Center) issued her statement on the Democrat majority’s failure to support their own members in calling for immediate gas tax relief for hardworking Californians.

“With our $97.5 billion surplus, there is no reason to reject bipartisan proposals by the Problem Solvers Caucus, in calling for immediate relief at the pump,” Waldron said. “Gasoline costs are rising to unbelievable levels, with new records set almost every day. Hardworking Californians are struggling to make ends meet, especially in my rural district, where many hit the freeways for long commutes to work. Immediate relief is available, but Sacramento politicians continue to stand in the way.”

Assemblymember Marie Waldron, R-Valley Center, represents the 75th Assembly District in the California Legislature, which includes much of rural San Diego County
