SACRAMENTO – Today, Assembly Republican Leader Marie Waldron (Escondido) celebrated Juanita Hayes as the 75th Assembly District Woman of the Year. Hayes is an accomplished career woman with over 25 years in the corporate world and in education. She has taken the skills she learned in her busy career to enrich the lives of others in through involvement in her community and non-profits.
“It’s my privilege to honor Juanita for her accomplishments in leadership, education and philanthropy,” said Waldron. “Hayes has been nationally recognized for her career and her continued devotion to nonprofits. It’s empowered women like Juanita that make our communities stronger, brighter and better. I am proud to recognize such a driven, talented and well-known activist in our community.”
Hayes enriches the lives of others through her ongoing involvement in North County volunteering, serving on the Palomar College Foundation Board of Directors, the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos Board of Directors, the CSU – College of Business Administration Dean’s Advisory Board and a number of other community organizations.
Hayes has a degree in International Business Administration, with an emphasis in European Integration, from American University in Washington D.C. She has lived in Twin Oaks Valley in San Marcos since 1989.
