On Saturday Dec 21 19, at approximately 7:14 PM, Oceanside Police Officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim at the Oceanside Transit Center. Officers arrived on scene and found the victim on the ground suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.
This incident occurred because of a personal dispute and appears not to be gang related in nature. The victim was life flighted to Scripps La Jolla with non-life threatening injuries and is in stable condition. The victim told Officers the suspect was staying at the Motel 6 on N. Coast Hwy. Officers went to the hotel and were able to gain entry into the suspects room, however the suspect was not in the room.
The case investigation is continuing by the Oceanside Police Departments Crime of Violence Unit.
