August 7, 2026, Vista, CA – Students and families of Bobier Elementary School in Vista will kick off the new school year on Wednesday, August 12th, by walking into a completely new structure and campus. Dubbed the “campus of the future”, the $100 million facility is an award-winning project, providing students and the community with a state-of-the-art campus.
The project tore down the existing structure and rebuilt a campus custom-designed for the school and community, and has been North County’s largest public construction project. Bobier is the pinnacle of the district’s recent facility improvement and bond initiatives, which saw projects at all VUSD schools.
The new Bobier offers over 84,000 square feet of space on nearly ten acres. In addition to new, modern classrooms and learning spaces, the facility includes a combination Library/STEAM lab, a synthetic playfield, new parking lots, and solar arrays with battery backup.
