Boy’s And Girls Club to Spread Color Across San Marcos at Color Run Event

SAN MARCOS, CA – Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos will host its first-ever Color Run series on February 19th and 20th. The events will be open to Boys & Girls Club members from nine of its after school program locations in San Marcos. Each untimed fun run will feature vibrant color zones, where volunteer swill shower participants with non-toxic, environmentally-safe color powder as they pass through the zone. Mayor Rebecca Jones will be in attendance for the first Color Run event at San Marcos Elementary, which will host nearly 200 youth participants, to kick off the fun run by throwing out the first color powder of the day.
The event will also feature inflatables, field games, and a Dr. Bronner’s Magic Foam Experience Zone, where the Dr. Bronner’s Magic Fire Truck will create a snow-like wonderland for members to play in as they are showered in the company’s signature “SnoFoam.” The celebrations will mark the end the of a successful Great Futures Day campaign, a fundraising campaign to support the after school and summer programs provided to 4,000+ youth members in North County each year.
