The Center Receives a Grant to Create New Light Display in North County
Escondido, CA – November 24, 2019 – Something big and bright is coming to the California Center for the Arts, Escondido! Northern Lights brings a sparkly holiday-season light display that’ll turn the Center into a magical winter wonderland debuting on Saturday, December 7th at the Annual Winter Wonderland Festival.
Visitors will be able to walk around the Center’s 12-acre campus which will be the home to various light installations and will include large festive wooden cutouts, enchanting tunnels of lights, endearing scenes, and more.
In addition to the light display, the Center will screen three holiday movies in the Concert Hall. The holidays movies being shown include: “The Holiday” on Friday, December 13th starting at 6pm, “Miracle on 34th Street” on Friday, December 20th at 6pm, and “Elf” on Saturday, December 21st at 3pm. Tickets start at $5 and can be purchased at the Center box office or at Artcenter.org.
Northern Lights is made possible by a generous contribution from The Escondido Charitable Foundation to help the California Center for the Arts Escondido transform downtown Escondido into an unforgettable holiday destination for locals and visitors alike.
Admission to Northern Lights is free and runs every evening starting on December 7th through December 31st from 5pm-10:30pm. More information can be found at http://artcenter.org.
