SAN MARCOS, Calif. – For the first time as an NCAA member, the Cal State San Marcos men’s basketball team (5-0, 1-0 CCAA) is nationally ranked as the Cougars came in at No. 22 in the D2SIDA Top 25 National Media Poll on Tuesday.

With a 5-0 record, CSUSM is off to its best start in the Division II era (2015-present). Prior to beating Cal State LA to begin CCAA play this past Saturday, the Cougars’ posted a statement win on Nov. 20 when CSUSM defeated then-No. 24/9 Point Loma by a score of 90-52 at The Sports Center.
