>MainStreet Oceanside’s annual Independence Parade will be on June 28th and we need your help. This event requires about 100 volunteers to create fun and safe community event. Please use the button above to signup to volunteer. Explanation of different event opportunities are below.
Volunteer duties:
Street/Staging Marshal: [7:00 am until End of Parade] Organize participants on the staging street and prepare them for the procession. Requires standing and walking.
Route Marshal: [8:45 am until End of Parade] Assist participants by ushering them to the end of the parade route. Requires standing and walking.
Flags/Programs: Answer questions from spectators and distribute flags and parade programs.
Barricade Marshal: [7:00 am until End of Parade] Supervise a barricade along the staging area or parade route. Requires standing.
