Have you ever met someone and just knew your paths would cross again and again, many times? That’s how it was with Jodi Cole, the new Event Coordinator for the Carlsbad Village Association (CVA). Jodi will work alongside Executive Director, Christine Davis, and Program Manager, Tish Gehringer, handling events on a part-time basis.
Whether at Village Voices each month or Small Business Saturday, Jodi was always willing to get involved.
“I have worked with Jodi on numerous CVA events starting in 2017 at our very first Taste of Carlsbad Village where she and the company she worked for at the time, Oska Wellness, were a key sip stop location,” Christine said. “She also helped secure a location for our charity pet photos with Santa at Pets on Parade and helped us raise thousands of dollars during those events for Wagging Dog Rescue. She’s that person who just makes things happen and that CVA could rely on each year.”
Jodi has a 14-year background as a freelance writer, has worked extensively in marketing and sales, and has developed and managed numerous fundraising events for Young Life, community events for Oska Wellness, as well as 5K, 10K and triathlon sporting events. Jodi is also a certified StoryBrand Guide which will help her tell the authentic story of Carlsbad Village through CVA events and related programs.
Jodi has lived in Carlsbad for seven years and admits there is no other place she would rather raise her four boys, Solomon, Maddox, Judah and Owen, all beach enthusiasts. A perfect day for Jodi is one spent watching her boys surf, yoga on the beach, and a stop at her two favorite Village locales, Compass Restaurant and Vinaka Café.
