[Vista, CA] – On Saturday, April 20th, 2024, the Moonlight Cultural Foundation hosted its annual Gala at the Moonlight Amphitheater, this year’s theme was Bon Voyage Ball. The event brought together community leaders, donors, and distinguished guests, including Kathy Brombacher, emeritus artistic director and founder of Moonlight Stage Productions.
One of the highlights of the night was the presentation of the Moonlight Ovation Award to Wes McDonough for his dedication and contributions to the foundation. Serving on their Board of Directors from 2016 to 2023, McDonough’s unwavering commitment has significantly impacted the cultural landscape of our community, particularly through his support of Moonlight Youth Theatre.
The event featured a lively cocktail hour, complete with a silent auction and opportunity drawing, followed by a three-course meal and live performances. Attendees were treated to exclusive sneak peek performances and the highly anticipated announcement of the 2025 summer season lineup. This lineup includes “Grease,” “Waitress,” “Anastasia,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” and “The Prince of Egypt,” promising a diverse and captivating array of theatrical experiences for audiences to enjoy.
Proceeds from the Gala support Moonlight Stage Productions’ vital year-round programming and arts education initiatives through Moonlight Youth Theatre, ensuring the continued enrichment of our community through the transformative power of live theater.
