Since opening in May 2024, The Bornemann Theatre has served as a central hub for artistic expression, community engagement, and inclusive programming in North County San Diego.

The theatre has been designed not only as a professional performance space but as a platform to elevate diverse voices and create meaningful opportunities for individuals of all abilities. It is the home of the TERI Players, TERI Inc’s long-running house theatre company, where individuals of all abilities come together to create.

By day, The Bornemann Theatre plays a vital role in advancing TERI’s mission to change the way the world sees, helps, and empowers individuals with special needs. It serves as a welcoming, inclusive space where individuals of all abilities can participate in and experience the arts and share their talents with the community.

At night, the programming shifts and spans a wide range of event types, concerts, theatrical productions, comedy performances, film screenings, and private events. The theatre partners with local, regional, and touring artists to deliver high-quality entertainment, while also hosting TERI-based productions and collaborations that showcase the talents of individuals TERI serves.

Founded in 1980, TERI Inc. (Training, Education & Resource Institute) is a San Marcos-based nonprofit transforming the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
