Change Your Mind Festival, a Free Mental Health and Self-Care Festival

Oceanside, California – The Change Your Mind festival, a free event presented by Interfaith Community Services, is coming to Oceanside Junior Seau Pier Amphitheater on May 6th, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event aims to change the mental health conversation, one mind, and one life at a time, and offers attendees an opportunity to engage in candid conversations, participate in workshops, performances, and wellness experiences.

The festival will feature a wide variety of activities, including keynote speeches from renowned mental health advocates, live music, cultural performances, yoga, sound bath, DIY succulent bar, drumming circle, crafting circles, and community enrichment activities. Attendees of all ages can engage in these activities, and the festival promises to offer something for everyone.

“Change Your Mind is more than just an event; it’s a movement towards a healthier and more compassionate community,” said Varinda Missett, the press contact for the event. “We want to encourage everyone to come and participate in this empowering day of mental health education and self-care. We believe that by engaging in open and honest conversations about mental health, we can begin to break down the barriers
that prevent individuals from seeking help.”

The event will feature expert speakers sharing their personal stories and insights into overcoming mental health challenges. Topics include mindfulness, meditation, trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, destigmatizing mental health, belonging, and community, among others. Attendees will leave the festival with a greater understanding of mental health issues and the resources available to them, as well as a sense of community and connection to others who are also passionate about mental health advocacy.

Admission to the festival is free, and pre-registration is requested. Learn more about the variety of informative speakers, fun hands-on experiences, immersive demonstrations, and secure your spot today by visiting www.interfaithservices.org/change/. Come with your family and friends, and help us change the conversation around mental health, one mind and one life at a time!
