The Vista City Council will discuss the future of the Wave Waterpark during its upcoming regular meeting on Tuesday, August 12, at 5:30 p.m. at the Vista Civic Center (200 Civic Center Drive, 2nd floor).
At a prior meeting on February 11, the City Council directed staff to return with additional information regarding the long-term maintenance needs of the Wave Waterpark and to further explore three potential options for the site’s future use:
Restore and Improve the Wave Waterpark through a Phased Approach
Repurpose the Site for a New Use
Lease the Property to a Private Operator
The August 12 meeting will include a presentation of these options along with cost estimates and implementation considerations.
Public participation is encouraged. Community members are invited to attend the meeting and provide input during the public comment period.
